Tank Jacking Equipment

Tanks were previously built using conventional methods or using heavy-lift cranes. The shell courses were erected in the order of the bottom course first, followed by the remaining courses. This method involved working at increasing heights. Also, this method had other constraints like safety and quality considerations.

However, with a greater emphasis on safety on construction sites and higher quality control, the conventional tank erection method did not effectively meet the standards. This gave rise to an entirely new concept of erecting the tanks whereby the erection work was restricted close to ground level and the part completed tank was pushed up. The bottom course was constructed last.

This method of construction is called as “Jacking-Up” method. In this method, the tank is erected with the help of Hydraulic jacks (equipped with the Tank erection equipment) connected to a Power source.

Why Choose
Sai Krishna Engineering Co's Tank Jacking System :

Efficient Tank Erection: Our jacking systems are designed to lift and position all Above-ground Storage tanks during construction. They provide a safe and efficient method for erecting tanks, reducing the time and labor required compared to traditional methods such as cranes. Our hydraulic jacking system precisely lifts the tank to the desired height, ensuring accuracy and minimizing the risk of errors during installation.

Increased Safety: Our Tank jacking equipment enhances safety during tank construction and maintenance. Using hydraulic power eliminates the need for manual lifting or cranes. The controlled lifting mechanism of the hydraulic system reduces the likelihood of accidents, ensuring a safer working environment. The highest safety is achieved as all the work is carried out at the ground level.

Adaptability: Hydraulic tank jacking systems are highly versatile and adaptable to various tank sizes and configurations.

Cost Savings: While hydraulic tank jacking systems require an initial investment, they can result in significant cost savings in the long run. The faster installation and reduced labor requirements lead to lower construction costs. Additionally, the flexibility of hydraulic jacking systems allows for easy dismantling and reassembly of tanks, making them suitable for tank maintenance, repairs, or relocation without requiring extensive resources.

Environmental Considerations: It helps in minimizing environmental impact by reducing the need for extensive dismantling and construction, as well as decreasing the use of heavy machinery.

Improved Project Planning: It allows for better project planning and scheduling, as tasks can be completed more efficiently within a predetermined timeframe.

Tank Repair and Maintenance: Tanks may require maintenance, repairs, or retrofitting over time. Our Tank jacking systems provide a safe and efficient way to lift tanks off their foundations, allowing workers to access the tank’s bottom or shell for welding, corrosion repair, coating application, or other maintenance tasks.

Bottom Replacement: In a case where a tank’s bottom is corroded or has suffered damage, our tank jacking system can be used to lift the tank so that the old bottom can be removed and a new one can be installed.
